12 days away from my manufacture deadline and I am desperately in need of some fabric. 12 days. I cross each day off on my calender, becoming more and more panicked as the 6th December looms ever closer. I have my model. The shoes, and a critique appointment and yet I have no lining fabric for my actual dress. Stressed is not the word. I am stuck at that crucial point where there is no more that can be done until I purchase some fabric. Yet there is none to be found. I have scoured the internet, looked round all the local shops, but I still can't find any.
It's because I know exactly what I want. I can picture it in my head, but that doesn't mean it is available. Gold Silk Baroque fabric, suitable to be used as a feature lining in a dress inspired by 19th Century Naval Uniforms.
Considering going to Nottingham on Wednesday but is that cutting it a bit too fine?
